The purpose of data collection and storage is to ensure the registration process, ensure the promotion of events and communication with participants, submit reports to the controlling institution. The data processed and stored are: name, surname, e-mail, name of the university, student ID number, company/organization. Data processor is responsible of processing of personal data (talque profile data).

Storage of Personal Data

The University of Latvia processes personal data for as long as it is necessary to achieve the purpose of processing personal data or to comply with the requirements of regulatory enactments in force in the Republic of Latvia. According to ERDF project No. 1.1.1.3/18/A/007 "University of Latvia student innovation grants" all student data will be stored and processed for the next 5 years when the project is closed.

Storage and use of Photos and videos

Please be aware that we may take photographs and video material at our events (festival and side events) and we may use these materials on our website (www.icebreakers.lv, www.lu.lv, biznesainkubators.lu.lv), Youtube and social network profiles (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) to enhance awareness of our events. If you are not comfortable with any material published containing your image, you can inform us accordingly and we will refrain from using such image in the future.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Some of the data processing is only possible with your expressed consent. A revocation of your already issued consent is possible at any time. One informal message by e-mail to the address given in the imprint address suffices for revocation. The legality of the data processing that took place before the revocation remains unaffected.

These are not merged with any other data sources. The basis for processing this data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, which involves the processing of data to fulfill a contract or precontractual measures.

Registration on this website

To use the talque functionality you can register on our website as a talque user. The data transmitted serves exclusively for the purpose of using our communication service. Mandatory information for registration must be given in full, otherwise registration is not possible.

In case of important changes, e.g. for technical reasons, we will inform you by e-mail. The e-mail will be sent to the address provided at the time of registration, unless this address was subsequently changed in the customer account using the password. In this case this e-mail will be sent to the new address.

The processing of the data entered during registration takes place on the basis of your consent (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Withdrawal of your already given consent is possible at any time. For the revocation it is sufficient to send an informal message per E-mail. The legality of the data processing already done remains unaffected by the revocation.

We store the data collected during registration for as long as you are registered on our website. Your data will be deleted should you cancel your registration. Legal retention periods remain untouched.

Use of Facebook Pixel

We use the "visitor action pixel" from Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (Facebook) on our website.

This allows user behavior to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected in this way is anonymous to us, i.e. we do not see the personal data of individual users.
